The Korea Center of Greenville is excited to share it’s culture with the Upstate. Come join us as we share the richness of our history and culture as a country. Come experience the richness of diverse cultures through food, vendors, sports, and an international market.
Korea will be represented by our Korean Fan Dance team and our K-Drum team.
Come visit our booth where you can see traditional clothing, language and an interactive table to win prizes!

Nam Dae Mun 20th Anniversary
Gateway to Global Rhythms - 20th Anniversary Celebration! We are excited to announce that our K Drum team, led by Suzy Kim, will be performing at the 20th Anniversary of Nam Dae Mun in Duluth, GA! Take a day trip to Duluth and enjoy K-Town!

Korean War Remembrance Ceremony (육이오)
June 25, also known as 육이오 (yook-ee-oh or 6-2-5) signifies the start of the Korean War, also known as The Forgotten War. The Korea Center of Greenville, along with the Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas, will host a Korean War 75th Anniversary Ceremony in Brevard, NC. This ceremony will honor 3 groups of people:
the 1.8 million Americans who fought in Korea during this 3 year war,
the 2.5 million U.S. service members who have deployed to South Korea to maintain the peace since the end of the war,
the resilient people of South Korea who suffered an existential threat, but persevered and prevailed, going on to build one of the world’s most vibrant economies and democratic societies.
The ceremony will feature speaker presentations from:
Dr. Peter S Yu - a retired economics professor from the University of Virginia. He was abandoned as a child in war-torn Korea.
Lt. Gen. John M. Brown III - U.S. Army (Ret.), is a Silver Star recipient who has served as Commander of U.S. Army Pacific.
There will be multiple examples of traditional Korean culture presented at the ceremony:
The Korea School Children’s Choir singing Arirang and
The Korean Dance Team of Atlanta
Admission is free and complimentary Korean finger food will be provided.

Spartanburg International Festival
Come join us at the Spartanburg International Festival on Saturday, October 4 from 11am to 7pm! Not only will our K-Drum and Fan Dance teams be there to demonstrate our arts, but we will have a booth with information about the Center and our cultural teams.

Newberry International Festival
Come support our K Drum team at Newberry’s 1st International Festival! They will be performing on stage from 1:15pm - 1:45pm.
Korean War Medal of Honor Ceremony
The Korea Center of Greenville is proud to support the Korean War Veterans Association in celebrating a Korean War Veteran who will be the Medal of Honor Honoree. Please come join us to celebrate this prestigious ceremony that starts at 1pm.
